The Behavior Analysis Tutor
About Meka
Meka began in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2007 when she had the pleasure of meeting a family who had a sweet, young boy diagnosed with Autism.
Upon observing the young boy's ABA therapy program she was immediately captivated by Applied Behavior Analysis. She committed to working 1:1 with him for several hours a week under the direct supervision of a BCBA. As Meka continued to work with the little boy, her desire to educate herself in the field grew.
Meka is a Doctoral Level Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Meka completed the BCaBA coursework at Florida Institute of Technology and received her BCaBA certification in September 2010. She went on to obtain a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an ABA focus at Arizona State University, and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in January of 2013.
Finally, in 2021 Meka earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education in the Research and College Teaching Program at the University of South Carolina.
